SSERiga Student Association is committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 and 2018 GDPR).
1. What information do we collect
We may collect the following information:

|Consent information||Data Subject consent, by topic, date, time and source of consent|
This information is acquired in the following ways:
- Information regarding participation in events and involvement in SA’s activities is gathered by surveys and sign-up sheets. The information is deleted after the event as soon as it is not needed anymore.
2. How we use the information
Our internal procedures cover the storage, access and disclosure of your information to board members. We do not disclose sensitive information about our students to third parties.
We may also use aggregate information and statistics for purposes of monitoring website usage, in order to help us develop the website and our services. These statistics will not include information that can be used to identify any individual.

If you would like to let us know about any changes in the information that you provided to the University upon enrolment, you can do so by emailing email@example.com.

When attending events organised by the Student Association, our photographers might take pictures of you. These might be stored and shared for marketing and promotion purposes. However, we are always open to requests from students in case they don’t want that photos of them be made public for any reason. If you wish your picture to be deleted from the webpage, the Facebook group, or Instagram account, please contact the PR Committee Chairperson.
6. Changes to this Policy
Whilst we will do our best to protect your information, we cannot ensure full security of your data which is provided by the University, because transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Nevertheless, once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access.
